VANPRO HAIR
Vanpro Hair is a hair extension line created by sister hair stylists. They run a successful chain of hair salons in Toronto, Canada but wanted to launch edgier and bolder hair extensions for the market. Vanpro Hair also ventures into business to business sales, hair education, and mentorship for professionals. This necessitated a distinct brand identity to set them apart from their other products and services.
The Challenge
The challenge was to present their direct to consumer and business to business collections separately but with a unified look and feel. The home page and navigation menu separates the B2B and DTC pages for easy product and information discoverability. Custom collection and product pages were designed to highlight the different variants of each product type, show prices for direct to consumer pages, and hide wholesale prices behind a log in for B2B customers.
Other requirements were online educational video course sales, in person educational course booking, a digital goods platform, and a review app.
Branding Book
I began the Vanpro Hair project by creating a branding book that included a brand manifesto, messaging standards, and visual touchstones. This set the distinction between Vanpro and their other brands and services. It also serves as a guide for clear and coherent communication within the company and on all touch points to their audience.
